Flat-pack Fashion Holiday Hotspots

Flat-pack Fashion

First up this week is, of course, IKEA’s brilliant response to Balenciaga’s $2,145 look-alike bag. The Swedish furniture and home furnishing company took a swipe at the fashion brand after it launched the new ‘IT’ bag – an extra-large, blue shopper tote bag, that looks exactly like the classic IKEA bag, which costs a meagre 40p. Ikea had the perfect response in the form of a hilarious ad, which outlined how to identify its original IKEA FRAKTA bag. A great reactive PR stunt which saw the brand steal all the headlines this week.

Holiday Hotspots

Coca-Cola’s hugely successful ‘Share a Coke’ campaign is back this summer – with a twist. The soft drinks giant is now putting holiday hotspots on its bottles to remind people why Coke makes summer more special. It is driving the connection between a cold fizzy drink and the summer period. The popular destinations you’re likely to see include Miami, Bali, Ibiza, Barbados and Hawaii. A great multi-channel campaign that will be launched across various channels including TV and social media. We just hope there’s a couple of free holidays up for grabs!
