Sweden’s up for Rent

From ‘cosy nests’ in France to Islands in Belize, Airbnb is renowned for some of its more unusual listings. But Sweden has trumped them all by putting ‘the entire country’ on the accommodation website – for free! The clever campaign by Visit Sweden aims to promote the country’s national policy on free-roaming and sees some of its most famous landscapes listed alongside a description of the space and its extra amenities. Bedrooms are listed as ‘outside’ with bathrooms ‘anywhere’. Hotspots which feature the sea and rivers, are listed as having an ‘infinity pool’ and a ‘panoramic terrace’.

We like this humorous campaign because it perfectly communicates Sweden’s law, which states that people have the right to freely enjoy Swedish nature.

PUNK

BrewDog has opted for a guerrilla marketing experiment like no other with this next stunt. Following the success of its ‘I Am Punk’ social campaign, it has sent vinyl ‘I am Punk’ posters of the company’s investors, to people across the UK with a cheeky request that apparently reads something like this…

“…Along with this letter, you will find a selection of vinyl’s featuring your fellow Equity Punks. These vinyl posters are yours to do with what you dare. Share them with the world. Give everyone a glimpse of what PUNK means to you.”

The idea being that the ‘Equity Punks’ fly post the ads around the UK. A daring tactic by the craft brewer considering fly posting can be illegal.
