Marathonbet and Match.com
Pigs Can Fly
Marathonbet made the impossible happen yesterday as it sent pigs flying over Brighton Beach. In a bid to reflect the slim chance that Brighton has at winning the league, the betting website sent four pigs soaring through the sky above the iconic Brighton Pier. It was also raising awareness of the mega 5,000/1 odds they are offering for Brighton to come out on top. The stunt caused quite the frenzy on social media with passers by sharing their shots of the flying pigs using the hashtag #PigsCanFly
This next campaign caught our eye over the last week because of its interesting use of 3D printing and its new take on dating. Match.com opened a pop-up model dating shop in London, where it put eligible bachelors on display, quite literally. The dating platform took window shopping to a whole new level as men from the dating site were immortalised in plastic, with the help of 3D printing. The models feature information about the singleton including his name, age, occupation and his best qualities. Then, if a lucky lady is interested in finding out more, she can contact each man using details on the packaging. We’re not sure this campaign would have gone down quite so well if the genders were reversed but nonetheless, we like this stunt and its clever use of 3D printing.
